My cousin Heather’s marvelous husband, Ryan O’Quinn, wrote two wonderful books (with a lot of help from Heather). Parenting Rules! is funny and reflective, and a great portrait of what good parenting entails. Ryan boils it all down to a set of rules to keep in mind for raising kids. And… yes, their kids are bright and creative and keep their parents on their toes. They are a remarkable family. The book has also sold quite a few copies.
Ryan followed this book up with Marriage Rules! which celebrates all the ways a marriage can stay fresh, and continue to be a growing, healthy relationship between two best friends.
I illustrated both the books, and it was a particularly fun project to work on.
