Background Illustration/Character Design/Conceptual Work. Most recently worked in the development of story concept and created backgrounds and props for the Disney Healthy Kids website which should go live sometime in December 2006. I worked in a freelance capacity at Rothstein & Memsic. Initially I was hired as an illustrator for a series of children’s workbooks involving licensed characters, and catalogue layout (marker renderings /Photoshop /Illustrator/Quark). This evolved into overall design, logo design, extensive photo retouching, development of licensed characters, package design, concept development and some copywriting as well as interfacing with the printer and problem solving.

I began at EDC building architectural models for Fox Studios Australia, but quickly became the key designer for the Club Disney projects in Phoenix and Denver. I created concept renderings for the interiors (using licensed characters extensively), met with Disney Regional executives to develop concepts, supervised fabricators and installation on site and insured Disney characters stayed on model.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from San Jose State University (1985) generally focusing on design for sets and costumes, and was also the graphic artist for the department creating posters, programs and promotional materials. In additon I have studied animation in Santa Monica at the Academy of Entertainment Technology (Studied traditional techniques as well as Flash and Maya).
Proficient with Photoshop (7 yrs), Illustrator (6 yrs) & Quark (2 yrs), Flash (1 yr). Studying Dreamweaver.
