Models and Miniatures

Well, I've got a lot of samples in the portfolio but not a whole lot scanned into the computer at present moment... so in the meantime here is the home I built for Biggleland (KIDSONGS) it actually evolved into an entire town and park. The kids were green screened into the set. It had a working waterfall on the left. Eventually I'll get more samples scanned. I've done miniatures for MTV and a color model for Survivor Australia in addition to various other projects that kind of blur together in my memory.

I was approached by the talented production designer, Kelly Van Patter, to create a finished color model of the set she envisioned for Survivor 2. She brought me some conceptual renderings and a rough model from clay she had put together herself. I created it with sculpy and acrylic paint.

Underneath the model you can see the site plan of where it was to be built. Even though I didn't really watch the show, it was kind of exciting to know the secret location way in advance. At least I knew how to keep a secret... clearly somebody didn't as they were evidently pestered by pernicious photographers.
